The Hamilton24

The Hamilton24 arts festival runs from April 30th to May 4th. A few events have already passed, but there is still much more that the festival is offering. The festival deals with film, music, fashion, and dance, covering multiple spectrums of art (so it should grab some of your attention in a specific field).
I myself have entered into the 24 hour film event. This was a daunting task, and believe that anyone in film should challenge themselves (at least once) to a 24 hour film competition, because it can improve many filmic abilities, as well as truly challenge the abilities you have within every aspect of the film production process. For my first movie ever produced, I believe it turned out amazing (but i’ll let you be the judge of that). I will post it once I receive the results from the film gala. If you would like to catch all of the 5 minute shorts in theatre, come May 7th or May 11th-14th, and witness the results show and much more.
Check out the festival events calender on the h24 website; maybe you’ll see something that peaks your interest. Most of it is free as well, so don’t let the cost of something stop you from showing face.

WELCOME!

Welcome to the first website fully devoted to the WLU Film Studies program! This website will be dedicated to keeping the student body informed on all film events occurring at Laurier. Also we plan on using this website as an outlet for all film students to express their views on films, as well as share their works, either theory or practice, among peers. I encourage everyone to participate; it's your voice that needs to be heard! If you would like to get involved, contact us at wlufilm@gmail.com. We will send you an email on how to set up an account and begin your adventures!
